This Legal Notice is provided in compliance with Article 10 of Spanish Ley 34/2002, de 11 de julio, de Servicios de la Sociedad de la Información y de Comercio Electrónico (the LSSICE).

This address is the direct, permanent and free-of-charge contact channel required under Article 10.1.a of the LSSICE for formal communications to the service provider and for exercising data-protection rights under the Privacy Policy. Doctor Abbs SL operates the Nivelta brand alongside The Holiday Doctor and the formal LSSICE/data-protection inbox is shared across both brands.
Operational service email: help@theholidaydoctor.com. This address is the usual channel for operational questions about the service, commercial enquiries and other non-formal matters. The introduction of this channel does not replace the formal Article 10.1.a channel, which remains privacy@nivelta.es.
Doctor Abbs SL is the entity responsible for the website theholidaydoctor.com and for the private asynchronous online medical consultation services delivered through it under the brand The Holiday Doctor.

Professional registration in Spain: Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Médicos de Madrid (ICOMEM), colegiado number 282889105. Status as a registered medical practitioner is publicly verifiable on the ICOMEM register, available at icomem.es/ventanilla-unica/buscador-colegiados.
Academic qualification: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), the primary medical qualification awarded by the University of York, United Kingdom. Recognition of this qualification for the purpose of practising medicine in Spain is evidenced by the ICOMEM registration referred to above, granted under Spanish Ley 44/2003, de 21 de noviembre, de ordenación de las profesiones sanitarias, which constitutes the official verification, by the competent professional college, of Dr Adam Abbs’s academic and professional suitability to practise medicine in Spain.
Other international medical registrations (for traceability and transparency): General Medical Council of the United Kingdom, number 7078829, verifiable at gmc-uk.org; Medical Council of Ireland, number 429282, verifiable at medicalcouncil.ie; College of Family Physicians of Canada, number 720470, verifiable at cfpc.ca. These registrations are not authorisations to practise in Spain; that function is held exclusively by the ICOMEM colegiación. Professional practice in Spain is, for all legal purposes, covered by the ICOMEM registration.

- Ley 14/1986, de 25 de abril, General de Sanidad, and Ley 16/2003, de 28 de mayo, de cohesión y calidad del Sistema Nacional de Salud, as applicable to private medical practice.
- Real Decreto 1718/2010, de 17 de diciembre, sobre receta médica y órdenes de dispensación, as regards the issuing of private medical prescriptions in electronic format.
3. Nature of the service
The Holiday Doctor is a Spanish private asynchronous online medical consultation service for adults physically present in Spain who meet the clinical eligibility criteria. The service comprises:
- An individualised clinical assessment carried out by Dr Adam Abbs on the basis of a structured online consultation and, where appropriate, supporting information provided by the patient.
- Where the request is clinically appropriate, the issuing of a private Spanish electronic prescription (receta privada) through the REMPe (Receta Médica Privada electrónica) platform homologated by the General Council of Official Medical Colleges (CGCOM/OMC).
- Where the request is not clinically appropriate, a clear decline explanation and signposting to alternative options. No fee is charged on decline.
Doctor Abbs SL operates as a private individual medical practice and does not constitute a health establishment (centro sanitario) within the meaning of Real Decreto 1277/2003, de 10 de octubre, por el que se establecen las bases generales sobre autorización de centros, servicios y establecimientos sanitarios. The activity is, in accordance with the applicable legal framework, covered by the individual professional practice of Dr Adam Abbs as a doctor registered with ICOMEM. Consequently, the activity does not require authorisation or registration with the Registry of Health Centres, Services and Establishments of the Comunidad de Madrid or any equivalent regional registry, on the basis of external legal advice held by Doctor Abbs SL.
Where a prescription is issued, it is delivered in the form of a private electronic medical prescription under Real Decreto 1718/2010, de 17 de diciembre, through the REMPe system homologated by the Consejo General de Colegios Oficiales de Médicos. The prescription is dispensed at any Spanish pharmacy at the price regulated by the Agencia Española de Medicamentos y Productos Sanitarios (AEMPS). Doctor Abbs SL does not market, store, distribute or dispense medicines; dispensing is performed exclusively by the pharmacy chosen by the patient.
4. Prices
Pricing information for the service is permanently, completely and accessibly available on the home page. Prices include applicable taxes. As the service is delivered entirely online, there are no shipping charges.
The price of the medicine, where prescribed, is not included in the price of the service delivered by Doctor Abbs SL. The medicine is paid for directly by the patient at the pharmacy at the price regulated by AEMPS.
5. Codes of conduct
Doctor Abbs SL operates in accordance with the Code of Medical Ethics of the Organización Médica Colegial de España (available at cgcom.es), which is binding on all doctors registered in Spain.
As of the date of the last update of this Legal Notice, Doctor Abbs SL is not signatory to any additional voluntary codes of conduct in the areas of electronic commerce, information society services or healthcare advertising. Any future adherence to voluntary codes will be reviewed after launch of the service and, where appropriate, communicated in this section together with the text of the code and the electronic address at which it may be consulted.
6. Cooperation with competent authorities
Doctor Abbs SL cooperates with the competent authorities on the terms provided for by the applicable legislation, including, without limitation: the Spanish Medicines Agency (AEMPS), the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), the Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Médicos de Madrid (ICOMEM), the Consejería de Sanidad of the Comunidad de Madrid, the Inspección de Servicios Sanitarios and any other regional or national health authorities with competence over the activity carried out.
7. Intellectual and industrial property
All content published on theholidaydoctor.com (texts, images, graphics, trade marks, trade names, logos, iconography, source code, graphic design and other elements) is the property of Doctor Abbs SL or is used with the permission of the respective right-holders. All intellectual and industrial property rights are reserved. The reproduction, distribution, communication to the public, transformation or any other form of exploitation, in whole or in part, of such content without the express written authorisation of Doctor Abbs SL may give rise to the exercise of the corresponding legal actions.
8. Liability for content and links
Information published on theholidaydoctor.com is informational and educational in nature and in no case replaces the individualised clinical assessment carried out within the service. The educational and informational content of the site is produced and reviewed by Dr Adam Abbs and is current as of the date indicated on each page; however, Doctor Abbs SL does not guarantee complete absence of errors or continuous updating of content between scheduled reviews.
The site may contain links to third-party resources (professional registries, regulatory agencies, scientific societies, bibliographic repositories and similar). Doctor Abbs SL accepts no responsibility for the availability, content or data-protection practices of third-party sites linked from this site. Links are included solely to enable the user to verify independently the data whose external source is identified.
9. Applicable law and jurisdiction
This Legal Notice and the delivery of the service are governed by Spanish law. For the resolution of any dispute that may arise in connection with access to or use of the website or the services delivered, the parties submit to the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Madrid, without prejudice to the rights that Spanish consumer-protection legislation grants to the user to apply to the Courts and Tribunals of his or her own domicile.
